Hi all! We’re creating a new working group for Web Monetization API support. We hope to develop lexicon(s) for ATProto users to publish and consume WM wallet addresses so that they can send and receive payments to each other.
Here’s the working group charter and the meeting agenda and minutes. Our first meeting is scheduled for next Tues 8/12 8a PT / 5p CEST.

First call this morning went great! We improved the WG’s goals, non-goals, use cases, and tentative lexicon structure, and I wrote up notes. Details here.

Discussed with the lexicon.committee steering committee on Thurs 9/10, they’re happy with this draft lexicon and report and the overall progress so far. We plan to merge the PR by Fri 9/19. Feel free to review and add any thoughts or objections before then!
We’ve merged this PR! Thanks for the input, all. We now have a brand new community.lexicon.payments.webMonetization lexicon and a doc with context and recommendations on how to use it. Go forth and build ATProto payment rails!
